Planned Giving Opportunities

There are many giving opportunities for those who wish to support Pine Rest's ministries. As a Christian nonprofit, Pine Rest relies upon the generosity of churches, individuals, and businesses to partner with us to help carry out our ministry.

Here are a few of the ways you can support this ministry:

Donating securities and other assets:
Giving stocks, bonds, and mutual funds often can provide greater tax benefits than a cash gift of equal value, especially if they have been purchased on a low cost basis. Thus, not only will your gift be used to support this vital ministry, you also can receive a charitable deduction for the market value of your gift. Donating real estate and other capital goods:

Purchasing Charitable Gift Annuities:
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract you establish between yourself and the Pine Rest Foundation. Under this contract, the Foundation pays you, the donor, a guaranteed lifelong income in exchange for a gift to the Foundation.

Bequest from wills:
Bequests are the most frequently used planned gift. A bequest allows you to make a significant contribution that may not have been possible during your lifetime.

Commonly used bequest language may be: " I give to the Pine Rest Foundation, the sum of $___ or ___% of my estate to be held, and administered by the Pine Rest Foundation to support the ministry of love and healing at Pine Rest."

Bequests are an easy way to recognize your support of the mission of Pine Rest and extend your support in tangible ways to help us meet the needs of those we serve.

Proceeds from individual trusts:
There are many types of Trusts a donor can establish to support Pine Rest, including Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, and a Living Trust.

Donating life insurance policies:
Your gift of a life insurance policy is an inexpensive way to make a contribution to Pine Rest. Whether your policy is an existing policy with payments to date or you wish to establish a new policy and pay premiums on the new policy, your gift can benefit Pine Rest and those we serve when you list the Pine Rest Foundation as owner and beneficiary of the policy. Giving a life insurance policy is a creative and inexpensive way for you to make a substantial contribution over time that will further the healing ministry of Jesus Christ at Pine Rest.
