Pine Rest Foundation Presents A “Night At The Improv” on April 15. The evening promises to be full of laughs brought by the River City Improv group. All of the group’s members are Christians who are either alumni or supporters of Calvin College.
Their mission is to be a positive force in the community while providing clean comedy to those who need a laugh. Their shows are called “short-form improv” because they are built upon a series of games or scenes which have specific rules on which suggestions are added from the audience.
The Pine Rest Foundation is fortunate to have River City Improv troop member, Rick Treur, on the board of directors. “We are lucky to have people like Rick serve on the board, he is a great example of the broad background, diverse experience and talents we are blessed to have on our board,” says Foundation Executive Director Randall Johnson.
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased by calling (616) 526-6282 or by going to www.calvin.edu\boxoffice. All proceeds will benefit the Pine Rest Foundation.
The performance, on April 15, will be held at the Ladies Literary Club, 61 Sheldon Blvd. SE, Grand Rapids, and will begin at 7:33 p.m. Contact Marcia Timmerman, Pine Rest Foundation, at (616) 281-6390 for more information.
