Pine Rest will offer two free memory screenings and partner with Metro Health on a third on Nov. 8, 2011. No appointments are necessary at any of the locations.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s every 70 seconds; resulting in over 5.3 million people currently facing the disease. Alzheimer’s affects not only the individual with the disease, but their friends and family members.
Screenings are free, confidential, and open to the public. Free educational handouts on memory loss, its symptoms, treatment options, and how it affects people will be available as well.
