Pine Rest is partnering with Metro Health to offer a free memory screening at three locations in West Michigan. The free screening will be offered on Nov. 9, 2010. No appointments are necessary.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s every 70 seconds; resulting in over 5.3 million people currently facing the disease. Alzheimer’s affects not only the individual with the disease, but their friends and family members.
Screenings are free, confidential, and open to the public. Free educational handouts on memory loss, its symptoms, treatment options, and how it affects people will be available as well.
