Dana is a native of the Traverse City, MI area. After graduating from Traverse City Senior High School, she attended Taylor University and fell in love with God, His Word, hurting people, and the integration of psychology and theology. She earned her undergraduate in Psychology and Christian Education. She was a Youth Minister for a year and then when on to attend graduate school at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School obtaining her masters degree in Counseling Psychology.
As a part of Faith Community Outreach, it is her belief that whether through General or Special Revelation, all truth is God’s truth. She practices from a Christian Worldview in which she recognizes value in every client. She sees it as an honor and gift of God to be able to be with others in and through their pain—using her skills to listen, build up, problem solve and speak the truth in love.
She works with people struggling with things like depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, adjustments, career confusion, post traumatic stress disorder and other stressors, relational issues, sexual abuse—focus on the victim, experiential learning and teambuilding.
