Charmeka Whitehead, PhD, Limited Licensed Psychologist

At the age of 12 years old a “blood donor” saved my life. That “blood donor” was Jesus Christ. When I walked down the aisle and committed my life to Jesus at this young age I had no idea that this was the most important decision I would make in life. As I reflect back on the past 18 plus years that I have been saved, I think about the grace, forgiveness, mercy, and love that Christ has shown towards me and this experience leaves me in awe of Him. Accepting Christ was definitely the best thing that has ever happened to me. As I think upon the blessing God has bestowed upon me one of the gifts that I am most thankful for is the gift He has given me of encouragement and discernment.

As a psychologist I have witnessed clients coming in hurt, confused, grieving, and even angry. I am thankful for the gifts that God has equipped me so that I may help these individuals work through issues and live out the promise that Jesus speaks of when he stated “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflow)” John 10:10 Amplified version.

I am a strong believer that everyone’s birth was triggered in the Earth realm for a purpose. We all have a purpose attached to our lives. My purpose and passion is to show Christ’s love to people through the services I provide. My particular areas of interest include working with children, adolescents, and families on issues concerning depression, anger, behavioral issues, and family and child conflict.

As I thinking about the love that Christ showed for us on the cross I have come to the conclusion that there is no greater love then his most precious sacrifice. This sacrifice can never be repaid. I can only hope that the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5: 22-23) that I show towards others will ultimately be pleasing to Him.
