Pine Rest Statistics

Pine Rest has one of the nation’s largest staff of psychiatrists working with nurses, psychologists, social workers, educators, and clergy. This includes:

  • Over 35 psychiatrists and physicians;
  • More than 35 fully-licensed psychologists;
  • Over 40 limited-licensed psychologists;
  • More than 115 licensed masters-level social workers;
  • 10 physician assistants and nurse practitioners;
  • More than 130 nurses.


Outpatient counseling and therapy at 19 locations In Michigan:

  • 11 in Kent County
  • 2 in Ottawa County (Zeeland and Grand Haven)
  • 1 in Barry County (Hastings)
  • 1 in Kalamazoo County (Kalamazoo)
  • 1 in Muskegon County (Muskegon)
  • 1 in Allegan County (Holland)
  • 1 in Montcalm County (Greenville)
  • 1 in Grand Traverse County (Traverse City)

And 2 in Iowa:

  • 1 in Des Moines
  • 1 in Pella


A recognized leader in mental health care, Pine Rest is one of the state’s largest organizations providing a continuum of services for all ages. This continuum of services includes:

  • Programs of prevention and education;
  • Substance use disorder assessment and treatment – outpatient, substance abuse intensive outpatient and residential;
  • Psychological and neuropsychological assessment and testing;
  • Employee assistance programs and church assistance programs;
  • Outpatient counseling and therapy;
  • Psychiatric home health care;
  • Residential services;
  • Partial hospitalization (day treatment)*;
  • A psychiatric/medical unit*;
  • Inpatient hospitalization*.

* These services are provided through a joint operating agreement of Pine Rest, Saint Mary’s Health Care, and Metro Health.

  • ADD Institute for the assessment, evaluation, treatment;
  • Consultation services for older adults;
  • Co-Occurring disorders treatment;
  • Eating Disorder/Trauma treatment services;
  • Psychiatric/Medical Unit, located at Saint Mary’s;
  • Psychological Consultation Center;
  • Center for Senior Care;
  • Pine Rest Christian Homes;
  • Pine Rest Dementia Living Center;
  • Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) – inpatient and outpatient
  • Psychiatric Residential Services for adolescent boys and girls;
  • Residential Addictions treatment services for men and women;
  • Contact Center, providing 24-hour, 7-day-a-week access to
  • Pine Rest clinicians;
  • Pine Rest Family Institute.
